The cut throat politics of the streets of "Da' Beach" make for the perfect back drop for an aspiring rap artist much in the same way the South Bronx did for KRS-ONE and Compton did for N.W.A. In this environment the hustler is mayor, the dope man king, and everything and everybody else is for the spoils. Perhaps there is no better place for an authentic street poet to rise out of except from such hardship and pain. Infamous for its state-wide highest murder rate and historical racial tensions, Jacksonville, Florida has for better or worst molded SWORDZ's perspective into his gritty and sometimes graphic lyrical game that has both been battle tested in B-boy cyphers and street certified as D-boy Souljah.

SWORDZ is straight from the Beach....Atlantic Beach that is - a steaming, crowded, police infested part of Jacksonville, Florida known for its unemployment, drug trafficking, and high crime rates. "Da' Beach" is a place where being educated is a luxury and becoming a statistic is a fact...In other words its paradise!

Raised in more of an Alternative than Urban music market, SWORDZ embraces the Jacksonville legacy established by such Rockers as Lynard Skynard, Limp Bizkit, and Whole Wheat Bread as witnessed by his Metal/Rap mash-ups known as HOODROCK - where he performs with a live band. "I'm a Rocka and a Rapper...I do it because I can" states SWORDZ.
